Solubility Studies on Copra Meal Proteins
January 6, 1978

Treatment of copra meat with 9.2% (w/v) H2SO4 in the autoclave for one hour at 20 psi steam pressure and 7/1 (v/w) acid-to-solid ratio resulted in the extraction of 77% of copra meal proteins.

The export tax tends to be disincentive for more exportation during times of unfavorable market conditions. Whether this tax led to more exportation and thus earned more government revenues, and to what extent it contributes to decreasing inflationary pressure were aimed at in this study.

Tissue Culture

Tissue culture is a technique of vegetative propagation which gives a large number of identical plants from each embryo. Success has been achieved in the culturing of embryos, induction of root-like growths, and development of plantlets, which would be eventually made to grow in soil until maturity.
