Performance Study on the Use of Coconut Methyl Ester (CME) as 100% Substitute for Diesel
December 1, 1990

Coconut Methyl Ester (CME), a product from the esterification of coconut oil, has properties similar to diesel fuel. More so, it has been found to be cleaner, more environmental, and engine-friendly than the petroleum-based diesel. No engine alteration has been made. Results of crankcase oil, dynamometer, and emission testing showed no engine wear and tear, to affect engine performance.

Fabrication of Prototype Reactor for the Manufacture of CME
1993

CME produced met ASTM standards for fuels and commercial CME specifications.

Varying Levels of Copra Meal for Lactating Cows in Early Lactation
July 1, 1991

Lactating cows that were given 25% copra meal in their diets had lower total solids and butterfat contents in their milk.

Preparation of Sugar Alcohol from Copra Meal
August 15, 1991

An alternative synthesis route was explored in optimizing process parameters. The project aimed at synthesizing, via acid hydrolysis, high -value products, mannitol and sorbitol from copra meal's high carbohydrate content.
