Slideset: Coconut Farming System
January 1, 1985

The slide set “Coconut Farming System” teaches how to manage coconut groves when multiple cropping and livestock-raising are incorporated. It aims to inform and educate farmers through an instructional slide set that deals with the cultural practices on coconut.

Slideset: Makapuno Tissue Culture
January 1, 1985

“Makapuno Tissue Culture” is a multi-image production on makapuno and tissue culture that gives a background on the research project, its accomplishments, current work, plans, the people involved, the facilities, and benefits in general.

A Village-level Study of the Coconut Industry: A Participatory Approach
April 1, 1986

The study was conducted in Barangay Soledad, San Pablo. Data-gathering and record-keeping for six months showed that farm-related activities were extensively done by owner-operators, tenant and farm laborers during the wet season because of more income opportunities derived from harvesting intercrops. During the dry season, tenants venture into non-farm activities, which give higher wages than farm-related activities.s

Publication of Multi-crop Dryer
January 1, 1986

The Lozada multi-crop dryer can be used in drying copra, corn, peanut, coffee, and other crops. To disseminate this information to a wider audience, PCRDF has agreed to publish a booklet on the construction, use, and maintenance of the dryer. It gives detailed instructions on its construction, types of fuels to use, and drying operations for different crops.
